“Holster” è il nuovo brano della band certificata oro The Strumbellas. Il singolo è il quarto estratto dall’attesissimo disco di inediti “Part Time Believer”, in uscita il 9 febbraio su Glassnote Records, giorno in cui la band darà il via al lungo tour.
“Holster“, un brano pieno di speranza che ci mostra lo spiccato spirito creativo e la versatilità sonora della band, è stato preceduto dai singoli “Running out of Time“, “My Home is You” e la bellissima “Hold Me” (entrata nelle prime venti posizioni della classifica airplay indipendenti) e ci avvicina sempre di più alla pubblicazione di un album molto atteso che è la dimostrazione della continua evoluzione degli Strumbellas e del loro indiscutibile talento artistico.
Dave Ritter – piano, organo, percussioni e voce – ha così commentato la canzone: “Pieces of Holster have been around forever. It’s like that sometimes with Strumbellas songs, where a piece of a verse or a chorus bounces around between voice memos and demos for years before finding its home. The chorus always stuck with us but we could never quite figure it out until now. It’s about the feeling defeated and hopeful and the space in between, about how you feel when you’re down but you’re starting to see the way back up. A lot of this album is about being two things at once: depressed and optimistic, doubtful and self-assured, defeated and victorious. When I listen to Holster, I feel the stretch between feeling like a failure and feeling like a hero. I hear the cry of someone who always almost overcomes their demons–who stumbles at the crucial moment every time–but comes roaring back, still believing that maybe this time they’ll come out on top.”.
